Lawn Renovation

Lawn renovation is a comprehensive process aimed at revitalising tired or damaged lawns, that have become worn out, patchy, or unhealthy, restoring them to their full health and beauty and making them more resilient to disease and drought.

When things have started to go wrong with your lawn, we can help you identify the problem and the action you need to take to remedy it. However, it requires careful planning and can take patience and consistent effort to achieve the desired results.

What process do we follow?

The first step in lawn renovation is to assess the current condition of your soil and the existing lawn. This involves identifying areas of thinning grass, bare grass patches, lawn weeds, compacted soil, and other issues that need attention.

We will then recommend the best plan of action for you, to bring your lawn back to its full glory, through our lawn renovation programme:

Scarification can help with lawn problems such as moss, thatch, sponginess, bare grass patches, thin lawns and worm casts.

Aeration can help with a variety of common lawn problems such as thatch, yellow turf, thin turf, compaction, water logging, puddles, poor drought tolerance, bare grass patches and lawn weeds.

Top dressing can be used to treat a variety of lawn problems such as to dilute thatch, improve drainage or improve moisture holding of the soil. It can also tackle moss, turf density, soil health, uneven levels and worm casts.

Overseeding can help with common lawn problems such as a thin lawn or bare grass patches.

Wildflower Meadow

People are becoming more aware of the ecological impact they can have on their direct environment through the materials used and plants in their garden.

We can select an area of your lawn, scarify it and seed it with indigenous wildflowers

The mix of British wild meadow flowers will depend on your location and existing lawn. We typically start with meadow seeds that will compete with your established grass.

Not only will having an area of your lawn as a wildflower meadow reduce your lawn maintenance, but the improved ecological value greatly benefits wildlife in your garden, particularly bees and butterflies.
